28/10 Tuesday morning: Opening and Plenary Sessions

28/10 Tuesday evening: Socio-cultural evening

29/10 Wednesday morning: Visit to the Museum of Asian-African Conference, a glimpse of Bandung and Universitas Padjadjaran

29/10 Wednesday afternoon: Moving to Surabaya by bus or train (750 km)

 

SURABAYA (2 nights)

29/10 Wednesday night: Arrival and take a rest

30/10 Thursday morning: Plenary Session

31/10 Friday evening: Free for those who end their participation in the event, either moving to Jakarta or to somewhere else.

 

EXTRA PROGRAMME (3 or more nights)

For participants who wish to stay longer and visit other places of Indonesia, the Organising Committee will be happy to help them to organise their trips to Yogyakarta or Bali.

 

BANDUNG AT 70 FESTIVAL OF CULTURAL DIVERSITY

For participants who wish to go to Yogyakarta, the organising committee prepare a Festival of Cultural Diversity. Here is the itinerary:

 

BLITAR (1 night)

31/10 Friday evening: Moving from Surabaya to Blitar (by bus, around 165 km), hotel check-in, stay one night

01/11 Saturday morning: Visit to the Mausoleum of President Sukarno

01/11 Saturday afternoon: Moving to Yogyakarta (by bus, around 295 km), hotel check-in

 

YOGYAKARTA (3 or more nights)

Hosting Institution: ISI (Institut Seni Indonesia / Indonesian Institute of Arts) Yogyakarta

03/11 Monday morning: Seminar Sharing with Participants on Cultural Diversity

03/11 Monday afternoon: Workshops on Batik and Gamelan Music, followed by Documentary Films Screening

03/11 Monday evening: Socio-cultural Evening

04/11 Tuesday morning: Culinary Festival

04/11 Tuesday afternoon: Poetry reading and/or singing

04/11 Tuesday evening: Closing Evening with Grand Concert of Western and Javanese Classical Music of Lyrico Dramatic

05/11 Wednesday: Visit to historical sites around Yogyakarta (Universitas Gadjah Mada, Prambanan Hindu Temples, Borobudur Buddhist Temple), Shopping

06/11 Thursday: Leaving Yogyakarta for Jakarta (by train, by bus or by plane)
